Smart FaxSee can show fax image of ALL kinds of fax files, and describes detail information of the fax image. Smart FaxSee can print the displayed fax image, or converts a none standard fax file to standard TIF format fax file. Smart FaxSee can recognize and show not only standard format fax files defined by TIFF specification, or raw fax files, but also unknown format fax files. Without any settings, or any hints, Smart FaxSee can recognize whether a file is fax file or not. Smart FaxSee is smart and super enough in recognizing a fax file in mostly cases. Standard format fax file is tiff/fax format ,which is defined by Adobe TIFF specification 6,known as TIFF6. TIFF6 supports many FAX encode modes, such as CCITT group 3 one-dimention (known as T.4-1D), CCITT group 3 two-dimention (known as T.4-2D) , CCITT group 4 two-dimention (known as T.6-2D) encoded fax. Smart FaxSee can read these files and show it for you. Another encode mode named Modified Huffman (MH) encode mode defined in TIFF6 ,is very similar with CCITT group 3 one-dimention encode mode. But Modified Huffman (MH) encode mode has no EOL after a scanline (see TIFF6 Part I section 10,please). Although Modified Huffman encode mode,is not a standard FAX encode mode, Smart FaxSee can open and show it. Smart FaxSee supports many FAX file formats, such as: 1)TIFF/FAX format file.
